Cost & Good Faith Estimate
At Enlightened Minds Mental Health, we believe in transparent pricing and clear expectations. Below you’ll find current rates, insurance information, payment options, and your rights to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) under federal law based on the No Surprises Act. If you have any questions, please contact us—we’re happy to help.
Session Rates
• Initial Intake (53+ minutes): $200
• Individual Therapy (53+ minutes): $150 per session
• Individual Therapy (38+ minutes): $120 per session
Rates reflect the training and clinical experience of a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). If cost is a concern, ask about limited sliding scale availability or care coordination options.
Insurance & In-Network Billing
Enlightened Minds Mental Health is an in-network provider with several major insurance plans. This means we are able to bill your insurance company directly for covered services. Coverage varies depending on your specific plan, so we encourage you to verify your benefits and any copays, deductibles, or session limits that may apply.
If you are not covered by an in-network plan, out-of-network benefits may still apply. Upon request, we can provide a “superbill” that you may submit to your insurer. HSA/FSA cards are generally accepted for eligible mental health services—check with your plan administrator.
Payment, Billing & Cancellations
Payment is due at the time of service unless billed through insurance. We accept major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA for self-pay clients. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule; late cancellations or missed appointments may be billed at the full session rate.
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under federal law, uninsured or self-pay clients can receive a written estimate of expected charges for non-emergency services. This estimate reflects anticipated services, frequency, and duration based on your goals and clinical recommendations.
What’s Included in a GFE
Your GFE typically lists the service type (e.g., intake, individual therapy), session length, projected number of sessions over a defined period (often 3–12 months), the session rate, and the total estimated cost. Actual care may shift based on clinical needs, your preferences, and progress; if your treatment plan changes, you can request an updated estimate at any time.
Requesting or Updating a GFE
You can request a GFE before scheduling or at any time during care. We’ll provide the estimate in writing—usually via secure delivery—within the timelines required by law. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you may be able to dispute the charge. Keep a copy or picture of your GFE for your records.
